In the third quarter of 2025, the top social networking applications in Italy showcased varied performance trends on the unified platform. Here's a look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Threads saw a decline in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 77K at the beginning of July to around 57K by the end of September. Despite this, the app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users ranging between 4M and 4.5M throughout the quarter.

Telegram Messenger experienced a stable increase in weekly revenue, reaching around $101K by mid-September. Downloads fluctuated slightly but remained steady around 54K to 61K weekly. Active users showed a gradual increase, peaking at approximately 15.2M by mid-September.

Google Meet had a resurgence in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter, climbing from about 9K in early August to nearly 28K by September's end. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing from about 1.1M to over 1.5M during the same period.

Life360: Stay Connected & Safe displayed a steady weekly revenue, peaking at $19K in early September. Downloads saw a downward trend from around 55K in late July to 36K by the end of September. However, active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 2.3M and 2.4M.

Facebook maintained a consistent weekly revenue, hovering around $35K. Downloads remained robust, averaging around 56K weekly. The app's active user base was strong, staying above 20M throughout the quarter.
